How to get here
If you are coming from the Colchester direction: On the A134 take the last left hand turn for Assington, after the water tower on the left.
Drive through the village, past the Shoulder of Mutton pub, and stay on that road down a long straight, down and up a hill, bearing left at
the thatched cottage. We are the second entrance on the left, signposted Little Ropers.
If you are coming from the Sudbury direction: On the A134 take the first right hand turn for Assington after the long straight. Drive
through the village, past the Shoulder of Mutton pub, and stay on that road down a long straight, down and up a hill, bearing left at the
thatched cottage. We are the second entrance on the left, signposted Little Ropers.
If you are coming from the Bures direction: In Bures St Mary take the left hand bend opposite the church, up the High St. At the top of
the High St take the right hand turn up Cuckoo Hill towards Assington. Continue on this road for about 2 miles. Before you reach
Assington you will see Great Ropers on your right, and a flagpole on your left. Go past the barns on your left and Little Ropers is the next
farm on the right, signposted down a track.
If you are coming from London leave the A12 at junction 26 (Eight Ash Green) taking the first exit at the roundabout; through Eight Ash
Green and Fordham, at the top of Wormingford hill join the B1508 to Bures and continue as explained above.
By Train: Bures Station is about a 25 minute walk away.
Please park at the bottom of our track by the signage for Little Ropers Woodland Camping.
By Bike: We have a purpose built secure Bike Shelter at the farm.
On Foot: Little Ropers is accessible for hikers following local footpaths.
