Little Ropers Woodland Camping
Our small parcel of woodland is situated on a working farm at the edge of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); surrounded by stunning views and walks through the Stour Valley. We offer a 'nearly wild’ camping experience just for tents, either within our small woodland or the adjacent meadow. Our setting is a tranquil alternative to more commercial sites.
Little Ropers Woodland Camping
We encourage back to basics camping: leave your mobile phones, tablets and speakers at home and get back to nature! Explore the great British countryside with stunning walks through nearby Tiger Hill wood, Arger Fen nature reserve and the Stour Valley path. Return to camp for some open campfire cooking and stargazing. Being only a small area, numbers are very limited. Vehicles are left at the farmyard and campers have a 5-10 minute walk to the site, which adds to the ‘wild camping’ atmosphere. Wheelbarrows are free to borrow if required or for those with a lot of equipment an ATV and trailer will take you to the campsite for a small fee.

First time at this site and it was amazing. Warm and friendly welcome. Had a lovely little pitch which was perfect for me and my partner. The facilities, equipment and local information was wonderful. Great fun had by everyone we met.

Spent a lovely night at Little Ropers. We were met by Tom who was super helpful. He showed us to our pitch in the woods which was stunning. The site facilities are basic but clean. Each pitch came with a fire pit that we made full use of.
